Vanderpool -- Thomas

Owen and Cathy Vanderpool of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Brooke Vanderpool of Cape Girardeau, to Dylan Thomas of Grand Forks, North Dakota. He is the son of Jimmy and Robin Thomas of Cape Girardeau.

Brooke graduated from Notre Dame Regional High School in 2010 and is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with her AA and bachelor's degree in child development. She teaches 1-year-olds at Community Day Preschool.

Dylan graduated from Cape Central High School in 2010 and is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in general education and a minor in management. He is in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in North Dakota.

An April 16 wedding is planned at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.
