Van Bergen - Taylor

Chris and Elizabeth Van Bergen of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Van Bergen, to Matt Taylor. He is the son of Allen and Lauralee Taylor of Cape Girardeau.

Van Bergen is a 2006 graduate of Tremper High School in Kenosha, Wis. She received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 2010. She is employed by Citytech Inc. in Chicago.

Taylor is a 2005 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in telecommunications and computer networking from Southeast Missouri State University in 2009. He is employed by Abbott Laboratories in Abbott Park, Ill.

A Sept. 10 wedding is planned at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wadsworth, Ill.
