Thompson-Tritto

Joseph "Bud" and Sharon Thompson of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, April Thompson, to Christopher Tritto. He is the son of Stephen and Peggy Tritto of San Jose, Calif.

Thompson received a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She expects to receive a medical degree from the university, and to begin an obstetrics and gynecology residency in July 2003.

Tritto received a bachelor of arts degree in history from the University of Los Angeles, and a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a staff reporter with the Charleston Gazette in Charleston, W.Va.

The couple will be married June 7, 2003, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Columbia.
