Thompson - Gendron

Buzz and Linda Thompson of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Kara Marie Thompson, to Brandon Paul Gendron. He is the son of Rodney and Denise Gendron of Jackson.

Thompson is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor's degree in interior design from Southeast Missouri State University in 2009. She is an interior designer with Drury Southwest Inc. in Cape Girardeau.

Gendron is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor's degree in sports management from Southeast University in 2010. He is a project assistant at Direct Line Marketing in Jackson.

A May 21 wedding is planned at New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.
