Swallow is a 1999 graduate of Central High School. She received a master's degree in physical therapy from Maryville University in St. Louis.

Hammontree is a 1989 graduate of East Prairie High School. He received a bachelor's degree in physical education from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn.

A May 20 wedding is planned in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
