Stout - Schirding

MOUNDS, Ill. -- John and Carol Stout of Mounds announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Erin Stout, to Christopher John Schirding. He is the son of Hal and Jane Schirding of Petersburg, Ill.

Stout is a 2001 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau. She received a bachelor of science degree in animal science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2005, and a doctor of veterinary medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the university in 2009. She is employed by Petersburg Veterinary Clinic in Petersburg.

Schirding is a 2006 graduate of PORTA High School in Petersburg. He received a bachelor of science in technical systems management from the University of Illinois at U-C in 2010. He is employed with Schirding Farms Inc. in Petersburg.

An October wedding is planned in Petersburg.
