Stanfield - Strickland

Kevin and Susan Stanfield of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Cortney Lynne Stanfield, to Matthew Kyle Strickland. He is the son of Robert "Bob" and Jeanette "Jenny" Strickland of Cape Girardeau.

Stanfield is a graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008. She is a customer service representative and Junior Savers director at First State Community Bank.

Strickland is a graduate of Central High School. He attended college in Grand Rapids, Mich., and at University of Southern Mississippi on football scholarships, and received a bachelor's degree from Southeast. He is owner of Strickland Lawn Service.

A Nov. 5 wedding is planned in Cape Girardeau.
