Spitzmiller - Harpster

Tom and Patty Spitzmiller of Gordonville announce the engagement of their daughter, Gretchen Leigh Spitzmiller, to Mitchell Dane Harpster of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Natalie and Howard Newsome of Jackson and Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter, Ill.

Spitzmiller is a 1997 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2002. She is a first grade teacher with Leopold School District.

Harpster is a 2000 graduate of South Central High School in Farina, Ill. He received a bachelor of science degree in manufacturing engineering technology from Southeast in 2004. He is an account manager with Johnson Diversey.

A May 30 wedding is planned at the River Campus.
