Sparks received a bachelor of science degree in education (exceptional child) at Southeast Missouri State University. She is a special services teacher and head varsity cheerleading coach at Scott City High School.

A Nov. 17 wedding is planned at Cape Bible Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
