Smith-Beltz

Mike and Kathy Smith of Monroe, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Smith, to Jason Beltz. He is the son of Daryl and Leshia Beltz of Waxhaw, N.C.

Smith is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School. She is a graduate of Stanly Community College Cosmetology program in North Carolina.

Beltz is a 2005 graduate of Parkwood High School, and is pursuing a bachelor's degree at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. He is employed at Craig Miller Custom Homes in Waxhaw.

A May 19 wedding is planned at Cape Bible Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
