Smith - VanGennip

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Troy Allen and Paula Ann Smith of Advance announce the engagement of their daughter, Taylor Ann Smith, to David James VanGennip II. He is the son of David and Tammy VanGennip of Advance, and the late Darlene VanGennip.

Taylor is a 2010 graduate of Delta High School. She received a degree in nursing from Mineral Area College. She is a registered nurse with Delta School District and at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

David is a 2009 graduate of Advance High School. He received a bachelor's degree in agriculture business from Southeast Missouri State University. He is employed at Counters Etc., and helps manage and operate VanGennip Farms.

A Sept. 19 wedding is planned at First Baptist Church in Delta.
