Smith - Johnston

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Robert and Georgia Smith of Chaffee announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashlie Elizabeth Smith, to Scott Anthony Johnston. He is the son of Tim and Linda Johnston of Scott City.

Smith is a 2001 graduate of Chaffee High School. She received a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005. She is a teacher at Kelly Elementary School in Benton, Mo.

Johnston is a 2000 graduate of Scott City High School. He received a bachelor of science degree from Southeast University in 2004. He is a sales representative with Major Custom Cable.

A June 20 wedding is planned at St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
