Louise Skaggs of Cape Girardeau announces the engagement of her daughter, Stephanie Skaggs-Smith, to William D. Kunefke, both of Oakland, Miss. He is the son of Melvin and Caroline Kunefke of Gore Springs, Miss. Skaggs-Smith is also the daughter of the late Virgil A. Skaggs.

Skaggs-Smith is a graduate of the former College High School. She is employed by Edix Inc. of St. Petersburg, Fla.
