Shoemake - Abernathy

SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. — Kevin and Elaine Shoemake of Sedgewickville announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Dawn Shoemake, to Andrew Seth Abernathy, son of Stephen and Carole Abernathy of Sedgewickville.

Shoemake is a 2004 graduate of Meadow Heights High School at Patton, Mo. She expects to receive a bachelor of science degree in housing and interior design from Southeast Missouri State University in August. She is employed at Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse in Cape Girardeau.

Abernathy is a 2002 graduate of Meadow Heights High School. He expects to receive a bachelor of science degree in construction management from Southeast in August. He is employed at Koehler Engineering in Cape Girardeau.

A Sept. 20 wedding is planned.
