CHRISTOPHER PARKER

Mary Sue Babb of Santa Cruz, Calif., formerly of Cape Girardeau, announces the engagement of her daughter, Amanda Marie Sharp, to Christopher Paul Parker, both of Winterville, N.C. He is the son of Paul and Earlon Parker of Rocky Mount, N.C.

Sharp is a 2000 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., in 2004, and expects to receive a master of science in criminal justice from the university in 2006. She is a research and teaching assistant with the Department of Criminal Justice at the university.

Parker received a bachelor's degree in business management from East Carolina University. He is general manager of Golden Corral Restaurant in Washington, N.C.

A Dec. 30, 2006, wedding is planned at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Greenville.
