Seyer - Welter

KELSO, Mo. -- Walter and Kathy Seyer of Kelso announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacey Lynn Seyer, to Derek Michael Welter, both of Kelso. He is the son of Bonnie and Michael Westrich of Kelso and Michael and Loretta Welter of Benton, Mo.

Seyer is a 2004 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in parks, recreation and tourism management from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2008. She is a recreation coordinator with Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department.

Welter is a 2000 graduate of Notre Dame. He received a bachelor of science degree in manufacturing engineering technology from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004. He is an industrial engineer with Nestle Purina PetCare in Bloomfield, Mo.

A May 9 wedding is planned at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.
