Dan Scrivener and Paula Shumaker of Springfield, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacey Elizabeth Scrivener, to Andrew William Luehrs. He is the son of Edgar and Peggy Luehrs of Jackson.

Scrivener is a graduate of Drury College in Springfield. She is a volunteer firefighter and public education coordinator with the Logan-Rogersville Fire Protection District.

Luehrs is a graduate of Missouri State University in Springfield. He is director of music at Trinity Lutheran Church and is employed at the corporate offices of O'Reilly Auto Parts in Springfield.

An Oct. 8 wedding is planned at Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield.
