Schwendemann-Kavaliauskas

Ann Schwendemann of Portageville, Mo., announces the engagement of her daughter, Laura Estelle Schwendemann, to Robert Joseph Kavaliauskas of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Robert Vincent Kavaliauskas of Cooper City, Fla., and Violeta Kavaliauskas of New Fairfield, Conn. Schwendemann is also the daughter of the late Robert Schwendemann.

Schwendemann is a 1999 graduate of Portageville High School, and received a degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at St. Vincent de Paul Grade School.

Kavaliauskas is a 1994 graduate of Ridgefield High School, and received a degree in accounting from Western Connecticut State University. He is a revenue officer with Internal Revenue Service in Cape Girardeau.

A Nov. 17 wedding is planned at St. Francis Xavier Church in Sikeston, Mo.
