Schmidt - Bachmann

Kenneth and Carol Schmidt of Friedheim announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Schmidt, to Michael Bachmann. He is the son of Mark and Melissa Bachmann of Perryville, Mo.

Schmidt is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. She is pursuing a degree in business administration from Mineral Area College. She is employed at HealthPoint Rehab in Cape Girardeau.

Bachmann is a 2002 graduate of Perryville High School. He is employed by Mueller Fencing in Perryville.

A Sept. 17 wedding is planned at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Mo.
