Russell - Adkins

Dr. John and Susan Russell of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Jo Russell, to Nicholas Andrew Adkins, both of Lee's Summit, Mo. He is the son of Thomas and Ann Adkins of Lee's Summit.

Jenna is a 2005 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in family and consumer science education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2009. She received a master of science degree in education, special education learning and instruction from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2013. She is a family and consumer science teacher with Raytown Schools in Raytown, Mo.

Nicholas is a 2002 graduate of Lee's Summit North High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2006. He received a master of science degree in education, secondary curriculum and instruction in 2008, and an education specialist degree in secondary administration in 2011, both from the University of Central Missouri. He is a business education teacher with Raytown Schools.

A July 19 wedding is planned in Kansas City, Mo.
