Barks received a bachelor of science degree in industrial technology from Southeast Missouri State University in 1991. He is assistant general manager of quality control at TG Missouri Corp. in Perryville, Mo.

A Dec. 23 wedding is planned at Little Whitewater Baptist Church in Patton, Mo.
