Ritter - Patton

Carl and Angie Ritter of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Kacie Caroline Ritter, to Jeremy Lee Patton of Steele, Mo. He is the son of Sharon Woody of Newbern, Tenn., and Philip Woody of Steele.

Ritter is a 2007 graduate of Scott City High School. She received a bachelor's degree in biology from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a biology teacher and head volleyball coach at Woodland High School.

Patton is a 2007 graduate of South Pemiscot High School. He is a graduate of Jefferson Community College and attended Florida International University. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals organization in 2011.

A Nov. 10 wedding is planned at Burfordville Baptist Church.
