Rice - Quintero

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Perry Rice III of Chaffee announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Jo "Betsy" Rice, to Matthew John Quintero, both of Columbia, Mo. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Louis Quintero of Quincy, Ill.

Rice is a 1999 graduate of Chaffee High School. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003, and received a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the university in 2005. She is a fourth grade teacher with Columbia School District.

Quintero is a 2001 graduate of Quincy High School. He received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Westminster College at Fulton, Mo., in 2005. He is a financial services specialist with Regions Bank in Columbia.

A Nov. 27 wedding is planned at First United Methodist Church in Chaffee.
