BENTON, Mo. -- Dwayne and Karla Proctor of Benton announce the engagement of their daughter, Summer Renee Proctor, to Cody Tyler Black. He is the son of Philip and Sharon Black of Sikeston, Mo.

Summer is a 2007 graduate of Kelly High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Murray State University in 2013. She is a nurse in Cardiac Progressive Care at Clovis Community Medical Center.

Cody is a 2006 graduate of Sikeston High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness from Mississippi State University in 2011. He is a regional environmental and safety specialist at Helena Chemical Co.

An outdoor wedding is planned June 21 at the Proctor home.
