Poythress-Waters

Roger and Bonnie Poythress of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Marie Poythress, to Cody Taylor Waters. He is the son of Dan and Deb Waters of Vienna, Ill.

Poythress is a 2002 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor's degree in biological engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a research engineer with Smith and Nephew Orthopaedics in Memphis, Tenn.

Waters is a 2001 graduate of Vienna High School. He is a mechanical engineering student at the university and is an Army ROTC cadet. He is a member of the 880th Engineer Haul Team in Perryville, Mo., and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

A May 27 wedding is planned at Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson.
