Pingel is a 2008 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia Sinclair School of Nursing in May.

Jenkins is a 2005 graduate of Clinton High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology from the University of Tennessee in 2010. He expects to receive a doctorate in pharmacy from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn., in May 2014.
A July 21 wedding is planned at Lynwood Baptist Church.
