Peterson is a 1999 graduate of Bourbon High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Central Methodist University in 2003. She is employed at Fidelity Communications in Sullivan, Mo.

Lappe is a 1996 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in outdoor recreation and community youth sports in 2001. He is employed by Missouri Department of Transportation in St. Clair, Mo.

An Aug. 6 wedding is planned.
