Dennie Jo Litchfield of Peoria, Ill., announces the engagement of her daughter, Bernadette Marie Pavon, to Lloyd Lewis Cross, both of Jackson. He is the son of Genevia Skinner and Lewis Hamilton of Scott City. Pavon is also the daughter of the late Manuel Pavon.

Pavon is a 1997 graduate of Jackson High School. She is employed at Spartech Polycom.

Cross is pursuing a degree in electronic engineering at Southeast Missouri State University.

An October wedding is planned in Cape Girardeau.
