CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Tom and Martha Obermann of Chaffee announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Obermann, to Anthony Woomer. He is the son of Matt and Patti Woomer of Lexington, Ky.

Karen is a 2007 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a doctor of pharmacy degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2013, and is completing a pharmacy practice residency at Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.

Anthony is a 2006 graduate of Lexington Catholic High School. He received a doctor of pharmacy degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2012. He is a pharmacist at Walmart in Sikeston, Mo.

An Oct. 4 wedding is planned at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee.
