MOUNDS, Ill. -- Ellie Dennis of Mounds announces the engagement of her daughter, Jennifer L. Nixon, to Jeffrey R. Korte. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Korte of Metropolis, Ill. Nixon is also the daughter of the late Thomas Nixon.

Nixon is a 1999 graduate of Meridian High School. She is employed at Dippin' Dots in Paducah, Ky.

Korte is a 2000 graduate of Massac County High School. He is employed with the family farm operation.

A June 24 wedding is planned at Mighty Rivers Worship Center in Cairo.
