Penny Myers of Oak Ridge and Greg Myers of Eminence, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lexie Myers, to Chad Newell, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Paul and Katrina Newell of Dyersburg, Tenn.

Myers is a 2009 graduate of Southeast Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She is a radiologic technologist at Southeast Hospital.

A Sept. 17 wedding is planned at New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.
