Stephen and Diane Mueller of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Marie Mueller, to Bryan D. Coulter, both of Carbondale, Ill. He is the son of Raymond and Carol Coulter of Bonne Terre, Mo.

Mueller received a bachelor of science degree in political science from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004, and is attending Southern Illinois University School of Law.

Coulter received a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from Southeast in 2003. He is manager of Kerasotes Theater in Carbondale.

A June 11 wedding is planned at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.
