Michael and Debbera Miller of Scott City announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Michelle Miller, to Hermanus Josias Louw of St. Louis. He is the son of Herman and Susan Louw of Middleberg, South Africa. Miller received a bachelor of arts degree in biology from St. Louis University. She expects to receive a juris doctor from Southern Illinois University in May. She has accepted employment with the law firm of Sandberg, Phoenix and von Gontard in St. Louis after graduation...

Louw received a bachelor of science degree in community health education from Southern Illinois University, and is pursuing a master's degree in sports management. He is the head age-group swimming coach at RecPlex Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.
A Jan. 15 wedding is planned in Scott City.
