Mendes-Livesay

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Phillip and Bertha Mendes of San Gabriel, Calif., announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Mendes, to Jason R. Livesay, both of San Diego, Calif. He is the son of Gary and Teresa Livesay of San Diego, formerly of Jonesboro and East Cape Girardeau, Ill.

Mendes is a graduate of Sacred Heart of Mary High School in Los Angeles, Calif., and attended Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. She is operations coordinator for JC Resorts in Rancho Bernardo, Calif.

Livesay received an associate's degree from Central VA College and attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is a customer relations supervisor with BikeBandits.com in San Diego.

An Aug. 25, 2006, wedding is planned in Maui, Hawaii.
