McElreath - Lindsley

John and Lisa Volkerding of Cape Girardeau and Dr. David McElreath of Oxford, Miss., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Elizabeth McElreath, to Brent Michael Lindsley. He is the son of the late Craig and Janet Lindsley of Perryville, Mo.

McElreath is a 2000 graduate of Central High School. She received an associate of applied science degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences in May 2010. She is an emergency room nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Lindsley is a 1997 graduate of St. Vincent de Paul High School in Perryville, and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Rockhurst University in 2001. He served in the U.S. Army from 2002 to 2005. He is a second-year medical student at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, Nev., where he expects to receive a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree in 2013.

A July 10 wedding is planned in Cape Girardeau.
