Ronald McCormick of Sikeston, Missouri, and Nancy and Jerry Bledsoe of Kelso, Missouri, announce the engagement of their daughter, Bailey D. McCormick, to John C. (J.C.) Reeves Jr., both of Topeka, Kansas. He is the son of John and Michelle Reeves of Jackson and Lori and Bruce Reid of Chaffee, Missouri.

Bailey received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications -- journalism. She is a legal assistant at Parmele Law Firm.

J.C. received a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communication -- multimedia journalism from . He is a copy editor at The Topeka Capital-Journal.

A Sept. 24 wedding is planned at Deerfield Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
