Mattes-White

Wayne and Kathy Mattes of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Ann Mattes, to Kerry Timothy White. He is the son of Kathleen White of Fairfield, Conn., and the late Thomas White.

Mattes is a 1999 graduate of Notre Dame High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003. She is a second grade teacher at Immaculate Conception School in Jackson.

White is a 2000 graduate of Fairfield College Preparatory School, and received a bachelor of science degree in aviation science/professional pilot from St. Louis University in 2004. He is a flight instructor with Parks College at the university.

A July 15, 2006, wedding is planned at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.
