Martindale-Horrell

LEOPOLD, Mo. -- James and Holly Smith of Sikeston, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Leanne Martindale, to Christopher George Horrell. He is the son of Harold and Rose Horrell of Leopold.

Martindale is a 1996 graduate of Sikeston High School. She received a bachelor's degree in social work from Southeast Missouri State University in 2001, and a master's degree in social work from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2006. She is a social worker at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Horrell is a 1995 graduate of Leopold High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Southeast in 1999. He is a computer programmer with AT&T in St. Louis.

An Oct. 20 wedding is planned at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold.
