Chuck and Cathy Loeffler of Monument, Colo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Irene Loeffler, to Jay Michael Stuart, both of Aurora, Colo. He is the son of Mark Stuart of Cape Girardeau and Susan and Michael Rotenberg of Nederland, Texas.

Loeffler received a bachelor of arts degree in anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is an environmental educator at Denver Zoo.

Stuart is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in chemistry/forensic science at Metropolitan State College of Denver.

The couple will be married June 21 in Lafayette, Colo.
