Langenfeld - Gerlach

Mark and Kathy Langenfeld of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Melanie Langenfeld, to Darris Richard Gerlach. He is the son of Darris and Tina Gerlach of Cape Girardeau.

Langenfeld is a 2006 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from Truman State University in 2010, and expects to receive a master's degree in chemistry from Truman in December. She will begin student teaching this fall in Rolla, Mo.

Gerlach is a 2006 graduate of Central High School. He expects to receive a degree in mechanical engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in December.

An Aug. 14 wedding is planned at Cape Bible Chapel.
