Kennon - Uhls

Mona Rae Farrow and Justin Kennon of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Mara Chantel Kennon, to Joseph Robert Uhls. He is the son of Dr. Ann Behrend-Uhls and Michael Uhls of Cape Girardeau.

Kennon is a 2008 graduate of Central High School. She expects to receive a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Southeast Missouri State University in December. She is employed at Red Lobster and is an intern in children's ministry at La Croix United Methodist Church.

Uhls is a 2008 graduate of Central High School. He attended St. Louis University and is a 2012 graduate of Southeast. He is director of football operations at Southeast.

A Dec. 22 wedding is planned at Maple United Methodist Church.
