Jansen-Branson

Mike and Marilyn Jansen of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristy Jansen, to Steve Branson. He is the son of Russell Branson of Washington, Mo., and the late Betty Branson.

Jansen is a 1999 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003. She is an oncology nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Branson is a 1996 graduate of Owensville High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in speech pathology from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001. He received a master's degree in speech pathology from Tennessee State University in 2003. He is a speech pathologist in Nashville.

A Sept. 4 wedding is planned at St. Mary's Cathedral.
