Ivers - King

Phil and Michele Ivers of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Renee Ivers, to Cory Alan King, both of St. Louis. He is the son of Randy King of Puxico, Mo., and Betsy King of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Ivers is a 2001 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a bachelor's degree in journalism and broadcasting from Oklahoma State University in 2005. She is gym manager at Olympiad Gymnastics.

King is a 2001 graduate of Puxico High School. He received a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's in business administration in 2008, both from Southeast Missouri State University. He is a sales representative with Glazer's Distributing.

A Jan. 16, 2010, wedding is planned in Denver, Colo.
