Hurst - Kerns

Teresa and David Johnson of Marble Hill, Mo., and Dennis Hurst Jr. of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Marie Hurst, to Raymond Mamola Kerns, both of Cape Girardeau. He is the son of Rose and Bob Couch of Fruitland and Victor and Sherry Kerns of Annapolis, Md.

Hurst is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School. She is employed at General Sign Co.

Kerns is a 2003 graduate of Bob Jones High School in Madison, Ala. He is employed at General Sign Co., and is a volunteer firefighter with Fruitland Fire Department.

A May 9 wedding is planned at First Baptist Church in Jackson.
