Hobeck is a graduate of Jackson High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a service specialist II with Edward Jones in St. Louis.

Roberts is a graduate of Woodland High School, and received a degree in telecommunications from Jefferson Community College. He is an electrician with IBEW Local 1 in St. Louis.

An outdoor wedding is planned June 24.
