Hobbs-Emerine

BENTON, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Stowell Hobbs of Charleston, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Clare Hobbs, to Derek Mark Emerine. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Emerine of Benton.

Hobbs is a 2001 graduate of Charleston High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in medical technology from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005. She is employed at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

Emerine is a 1997 graduate of Kelly High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in agronomy in 2001, and a master of science degree in agronomy in 2004, both from Mississippi State University. He is president of Ag One Inc., and is a regional sales representative with InTime Inc.

A Feb. 18, 2006, wedding is planned at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Charleston.
