Hiett - Alley

Randy and Garia Hiett of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Lauren Hiett, to Kyle Joseph Alley. He is the son of Christopher and Dawn Alley of Chesterfield, Mo.

Emily is a 2007 graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in hospitality management from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2011. She is an administrative contractor in St. Paul, Minn.

Kyle is a 2007 graduate of Marquette High School in Chesterfield. He received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and sociology from the University of Missouri in 2011. He is pursuing a master's degree in human resources and industrial relations from the University of Minnesota. He is employed with Land O Lakes Inc. in Minneapolis, Minn.

An outdoor wedding is planned May 24 at Deerfield Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
