Heuring - Powers

BENTON, Mo. -- Michelle and Boyd Pattengill of Benton announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittney Elizabeth Heuring, to Brock Thomas Powers. He is the son of Teresa and Doug White of Puxico, Mo., and Michael Powers of The Woodlands, Texas. Brittney is also the daughter of the late Kenny Joe Heuring.

Brittney is a 2008 graduate of Thomas W. Kelly High School. She received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Southeast Missouri State University in May, and is pursuing a master's degree. She is employed at Sears Home Store in Sikeston, Mo.

Brock is a 2009 graduate of Kelly High School. He is employed with Missouri Department of Transportation.

An Oct. 5 wedding is planned in Sikeston.
