Bill and Lucille Schweer of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Tracey Lynn Heisserer, to Jason Franklin Proffer. He is the son of Frank and Theresa Proffer of Sikeston, Mo., and Joe and Marilyn Gilmore of Cape Girardeau.

Heisserer is a recent graduate of Trendsetters School of Cosmetology.
