Heischmidt - Fischer

Ken and Cindy Heischmidt of Cape Girardeau announce the engagement of their daughter, Brooke Heischmidt, to John Fischer of Manitou Springs, Colo. He is the son of Ed and Jeannie Fischer of Custer, S.D.

Heischmidt is completing a master of health science with emphasis in speech-language pathology from the University of Missouri.

Fischer received a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He teaches at-risk students in Colorado Springs, Colo.

A July 13, 2013, wedding is planned in Colorado Springs.
